We use many applications that are not installed on our computers like cloud storage, online games, photo/graphics editors, and more. This is referred to as Software as a Service, Saas Links to an external site.. We use other applications that are installed on our computers like file managers, games, word processors, photo/graphics editors, text editors, and more. This is installed software.

Your assignment is to research and review applications in a given category, one SaaS and one installed, for comparison. You will post this in WordPress Links to an external site.. Some things to consider in your review are ads, cost (free/premium), login, storage, additional downloads, customization, sharing, ... .

• Communication Software (email, chat, etc.)

Your WordPress Links to an external site. post should start with the name of the category that your applications fit into. For each application you need to state the company that owns the application, the application's name, a URL for the application, write at least a paragraph of description and a paragraph of review, and include at least one image that you have the right to use.

Include at least one image each, like a screenshot. You can add images through the WordPress Media Library. If you use other resources for your review, then be sure to cite Links to an external site. them. Plagiarism is a bad thing. You must state that images are yours or cite the source and license.

You will also need to check out a classmate's review of an application. For one of the applications that they reported on, try it out if possible, and add to their review with a comment. Your comment should have some substance, not just "I agree" or "I like this app too."

After you publish your post in WordPress Links to an external site., submit a reply in this discussion with the name of your post (e.g. "Graphics: Gimp vs Pixlr") and an active link to your WordPress post.
