Survey Project Part 3: Analysis & Report

Once your group's survey has been taken by your classmates, your group will begin to clean up and analyze the data. To do this, one of you will have to view responses in Sheets. There is a button for this on the responses tab of the form. Once one of you does this, it must be shared with the other group members.
Duplicate the Form Responses tab. In this copy of the form responses, you will analyze the data by sorting it and making charts. Each member of your group will create at least 2 graphs based on the data, like a pie chart, bar chart, or a histogram. If you didn't create the sheet then you will need to add it to your drive and move to your folder.
Your group will write a report in Google Docs about the survey results. This report will include the graphs and observations by each of your group members. Although one group member must start the report in Google Docs, the document must be shared with each group member (as "can edit"), and each group member must contribute to writing and editing the report. You should review and edit each other's writing. If you didn't create the doc then you will need to add it to your drive and move to your folder. Check the revision history on Google Docs to see which parts of the document each member of your group has worked on. Each member will also export the document as a PDF and upload it to your Survey
folder.
Your group's report will be graded on its overall quality and the discussion of the data that you collected. Some questions to consider when writing your report are: Was the data you collected what you expected? Were there any surprising results? Were there questions that you could have written differently to get better results? Would you change anything about the overall flow of the survey if you were to give it to more people?
The report and the spreadsheet must be shared as "can edit" with your instructor.
Reminder: each group will have one results spreadsheet and one report, but each member must contribute to the report and everyone must submit this assignment individually.
Each member of the group must:
- Create a new folder in your Google Drive
CS120/Projects
folder calledSurvey
. - Download a PDF version of your group's report document and upload it to your
Survey
folder. - Have all 4 files (the Form, the Sheet, the Doc, the PDF) in their
Survey
folder.
Include the following in the submission box for this assignment:
- A list of all the members of your group.
- The name of your group's survey.
- An active link to take your group's survey.
- A shareable link to your group's survey results spreadsheet.
- A shareable link to your group's report document.
- A shareable link to your
Survey
directory.
