For this project we will publish excerpts from a public domain Links to an external site. book. You will have to do some research to find a book that is in the public domain. It doesn't have to be a book that you've read, but one you find interesting. You will create a home page and at least 5 other pages. Each of the other pages will represent a chapter from the book with excerpts and images.

Requirements

Create a folder, booksite, on your computer, to save all of your files and images.
Create a header image, a banner with a maximum height of 300 pixels, to use on each page.
Add a header element Links to an external site. at the top of each page. It should contain heading text Links to an external site. and your header image.
In an article element Links to an external site., use at least one page from at least 5 different chapters, e.g., first and second pages.
Add a relevant image Links to an external site. to insert on each page and position artistically.
Use the image source URL and license as the title attribute for the image tag.

In a nav element Links to an external site., place menu bar with links to all pages, on every page, near the top or bottom.
In a footer element Links to an external site., add your name and email address.
Use styles Links to an external site., inline and/or internal, to enhance your pages. Have fun with color, border, ... .
Create an index page. In the article section, have the following:

a brief description of the book,
a table Links to an external site. of contents linking to each page, and
a citation for where you found the book online.

Once you have completed all of the pages, you can upload the files to your WordPress account, WP Flie Maganger. Submit the link to your WordPress folder, e.g., https://math.bluecc.edu/wordpress/user_data/FirstLast/booksite/ .

Example Pages

Below are screenshots of a main page and the first two pages (chapters) of the public domain book Treasure Island. Notice that each page has the same header image with header text for the book title and the chapter. The main page contains links to each of the chapters and each page has a footer with links to each page.
