Objective:  Create a variety of simple queries using Access database file.

Complete Challenge Exercise

Open/Save File

• Open the Practice File
• Save File on Your Device as Chapter2_xx, with your initials on the end of the filename.
• Review how many tables, queries, forms and reports are included in this large database file.

Question:  How many Customers are in the customers table? Type in your answer in the Canvas comment box when submitting the file.

Query 1:  Durham or 27514 Zip Code Query

Create and run the query as directed.  Sample view of both finished and design of query are shown below.
Question: How many Customers met the Durham city or 27514 zip code?  Type in your answer in the Canvas comment box when submitting the file.

Query 2:  No Mailing List Query

Create and Run Query that shows No on Mailing List (see setup below for design view).
Include the First Name, Last Name, Mailing List fields.  Save query as No Mailing List
Switch to Design view and include the criteria for No on Mailing field.  Run the query.
Final list should show 175 Customers on the No Mailing List query.

Note:  This only shows part of the list.

Review and Submit for Scoring

Close all tables, queries, forms reports.
Close file.  Type in answers to questions during the submission, in the comment box.
Submit for Scoring
