Access Chapter 1 Practice
Objective: Introductions to Working with Tables & Records using Access database file.

Open/Save File
- Open the GCF Practice File
- Save File on Your Device, add your initials to the end of the filename.
- Review how many tables, queries, forms and reports are included in this large database file. Review how many records are in the Customer Table before deleting records. Review how many fields are in the Customers Table.
- When submitting your final file, answers and record those categories and numbers in the submission comment box. Example: Tables--8, Queries--,Forms--?, Reports--? Customer Table Records--?, Customer Table Fields--?
- Follow directions as written in Challenge exercise at the bottom of the topic tutorial.
- Add yourself and related information to the Customers table.
- In addition, follow the directed as listed below.
Sort Customer Table by Last Name
- With Customers Table Open, click on the field arrow for last name, and sort A-Z ascending order.
- Names should be in alphabetical order by last name.
- Delete the David Barrett record in the Customers Table.
- Change the gridline setting on the Customers Table.
- Change the alternate row color.
- Hide the email field.
- Resize the row height.
- Close and save the changes to the table.
Review and Submit for Scoring
- Close all tables, queries, forms reports.
- Close file.
- Submit for Scoring, Record your answers to the questions listed earlier in directions.
